![]() ![]() My best advice would be to learn the basics first. The free version of SkecthUp is an incredibly powerful tool and can take you a long way before you'd need the features of Pro. Wanting Pro before you've used SketchUp Make enough to start feeling it's limitations is jumping the gun. I don't want to sound harsh, I really don't intend it that way but as the old saying goes "a bad workman always blames his tools". Hey u/bladerunnet263, as others have said, you almost certainly don't need SpetchUp Pro and by the time you do need it's small set of advanced features, you should be at a stage in your business where the cost of Pro is relatively minimal in terms of business expenditures. They take longer to learn but that's what it's all about and they are free. I agree that you should just buy it, in terms of business expenses and working in 3D it's not a lot but Blender and Fusion 360 can create the same results as SketchUp and also much superior results. ![]() £700 is a lot to be asking a stranger to donate when there are other (free) options you can consider beforehand! I also made this in SketchUp make a few years ago, it's quite complicated: Why wont SketchUp Make (the free desktop version) work for you? The only features Pro has over it are the 3rd party file format importers/exporters, the maximum image resolution and vector format export and a few of the tools that you would not need for simple work? I use Pro for the most part on my desktops but I have a laptop with Make that I use for doodling while lying on the couch. ![]()
